ASPIRE

 

The St. Simons Elementary A.S.P.I.R.E. (After School Program Integrating Resources for Enrichment) is a program

that provides enrichment activities in a safe environment for students who would otherwise be alone after school 

hours. The program provides time for students to complete homework, receive extra academic assistance and engage

in enrichment activities. Teachers and paraprofessionals staff A.S.P.I.R.E.

 

 

 

 

Daily Expectations for Students:

  • Respect all of the adult leaders. Respectful, Responsible, Role Model expectations carry over to ASPIRE.
  • Be kind and respectful to the other students in ASPIRE.
  • We share all ASPIRE items (games, supplies, equipment). We are a family.

All elementary childcare programs are an extension of the school day and are housed on Glynn County Schools property. Therefore, the Glynn County Schools Student Code of Conduct will serve as discipline guidance, should behavior be an issue.

 

Weekly Parent Expectations:

  • Payment is due at the beginning of the week. After Tuesday, there will be a $5.00 late fee added to your payment (i.e., $35 will go to $40 if late).
  • Please inform me or the front office if your child is out for an extended illness. Payment adjustments will be made after 5 days of illness.
  • Please pick up your child from the Gym on Demere Road. Pick-up time starts at 3:00 PM. If you need to pick your child up before 3:00, please make a transportation change with the office for your child to be a car rider, walker, or check them out before 2:00 PM with the office.
  • If there is a change in how your child will get home (i.e., going home with another child or someone different than those on your pick-up list), please write it in their agenda and ask them to show it to me. (Note: if it is last minute, please call the school.)
  • Students have been informed that only adults open doors.
  • Fridays are our movie day in the gym; students are only allowed to bring a stuffed animal or small pillow.

Weekly Pay Scale:

  • One child: $35
  • Second child: $30
  • Third child: $25

For a 4-day week, the prices are as follows:

  • One child: $28
  • Second child: $24
  • Third child: $20
