Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to St. Simons Elementary School, where we are ‘Joining hands to Build a BRIGHTER future for our community. As principal, it is my honor to lead the Super Dolphins: our students, staff, and families.

We take great pride in the success of our students, school, and community.  At St. Simons Elementary School, our school staff, families, and community all work together toward the continued success of St. Simons Elementary School.  We believe that relationships and a positive school climate are at the heart of our school’s success.

We work hard to build relationships with our students and their families and to provide a positive, welcoming environment. St. Simons Elementary School maintains high expectations for student success.   St. Simons Elementary has been recognized annually as either a Georgia Title I Distinguished School or Reward School for over the past 10 years.  We have also been recognized by the Georgia Governor’s Office of Student Achievement for high progress and high achievement.  In 2020 we were recognized as a National Title I Distinguished School, and in 2024 we were recognized as a National Blue Ribbon Award School by the United States Department of Education.

St. Simons Elementary students, staff, and families are proud of the school’s success over the past 80 years, specifically the school’s climate, academic success, and connection to the history and coastal community.  Recent construction of our new facility created the opportunity for us to link the success of the past to the future, supporting the school’s vision to, “Leave a legacy as we live, learn, and laugh together.”

We encourage you to stay connected with our school through this website, social media and our parent Facebook group, and our regular communications. Your involvement is essential to the success of our school, and we look forward to working together to create an exceptional educational experience for all students. Thank you for your continued support of St. Simons Elementary. Together, we will continue to make waves!

Sincerely,

Katy Ginn
