PBIS

A film strip forms a chair with popcorn, a drink, and 3D glasses, with the text 'Showtime at SSE!!!'.

What is PBIS?

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a way for schools to encourage good behavior. With PBIS, schools teach kids about behavior, just as they would teach about other subjects like reading or math. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment.  We have developed a matrix of school-wide expectations based on our belief that SSE students are responsible, respectful role models.  Students earn points in their classroom and throughout the building for following our school-wide expectations.  Classes will be split into “Houses” with a characteristic describing their house to build a school community.  We look forward to celebrating all of our Super Dolphins!
