Frequently Asked Questions About the SSE PTA

How Do I Join The PTA?

• You can join the SSE PTA by following this link https://jointotem.com/ga/saint-simons-island/st-simons-es-pta or simply filling out the attached form and returning it to school in your child’s folder. 

• We have 4 membership options: Member, Dolphin Jr., Dolphin Family, and Dolphin Platinum.  Member membership fee is $10.  Dolphin Jr. is an additional $30; Dolphin Family is an additional $50, and Dolphin Platinum is an additional $100.  Click on the green 'Donation' tab to join as Dolphin Jr., Dolphin Family, or Dolphin Platinum.  Dolphin Jr., Dolphin Family, and Dolphin Platinum Members will be included on a banner at SSE.  

• By joining the PTA, your financial contribution goes to support funding for numerous activities and supplies at SSE such as your child’s communication folder, weekly readers, Fall Festival, Dolphins Do Art Day, mulch for the playground, the Accelerated Reader program, the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and the SSE Ocean Lab .  While parent involvement and volunteers are always encouraged and welcomed at SSE, there is no further obligation once you join the PTA. 

 

When Are PTA Meetings Held?

• PTA meetings are held in the evenings, at the beginning of the  musical performances.

 

If I am Unable to Attend the PTA Meetings, Can I Still Join the PTA?

• Yes!  You do not need to be present at the PTA meetings in order to join the PTA.  Information discussed at PTA meetings will also be sent home via fliers, the school newsletter and other school-wide communications.

 

Who Is Eligible to Join the SSE PTA?

• Any SSE family member, teacher or friend is welcome to join the PTA.  This includes extended family members such as grandparents.
