Ocean Lab

St. Simons Elementary School has a rich heritage, maintains a challenging academic program, and strives to provide students outstanding learning opportunities.  Uniquely located just across the street from beach access and the Atlantic Ocean, SSE is home to the Ocean Lab which currently operates three days each week.  Supported entirely by funds raised by the school community and PTA, Ocean Lab programs help connect K-5 students with the Georgia coast.  Activities are designed to provide SSE students with high quality, memory-making learning experiences while meeting the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Science as well as cross-curriculum standards in Math, Social Studies, and Reading.
