New Building Information
We are moving! The new building is almost ready, and we are moving in! Please note the following regarding procedures in January.
- On January 4 all students will report to their current homeroom classrooms. They will walk as a class to their new classroom.
- The majority of our supplies will be moved over the break; however, our new building will not yet be ready for ’guests.’ Please give us a few weeks to settle in with our students before visiting the new building. We have planned an Open House for our current SSE families Thursday, January 26. We hope you will plan to visit the new building then!
- Our new dismissal and arrival procedures will begin January 6. Please note that we expect some delays as we begin the new procedures.
Information for Drop Off/Dismissal Procedures beginning January 6, 2023
Car Riders: All cars will drop off and pick up in the church parking lot behind the new school. You will enter the parking lot the SAME WAY that you enter now, using the back entrance to SSE. Cars will then proceed to the right, entering the church parking lot. Cars will circle around the lot to drop students off or pick students up behind the new school. Please note that cars should not drop students off prior to 7:15 in the morning. Cars will not be allowed to enter the back circle area for dismissal prior to 2:20.
Walkers/Bikers: Due to our new car rider procedures (traffic will cross the sidewalk throughout arrival and dismissal), the back pick up area is unavailable for walkers and bikers. Arrival and dismissal for walkers and bikers will take place in the front of the school on Ocean Boulevard. Students who walk or bike and arrive prior to 7:30 will enter through the cafeteria. Students who arrive after 7:30 will enter through the door between the original SSE building and the new SSE building. The bike rack will be moved outside that door. If your child bikes to school, we
suggest taking time before January 6 to review the new route students will take to school. If families park and walk we suggest parking in the dirt lot across Demere, walking to Ocean Blvd, and walking to SSE along Ocean. Families may also choose to park in public parking at the beach access points across the street from SSE. It will be very important that teachers and students know if students are car riders or walkers. These 2 groups will dismiss on opposite ends of the new building.

ASPIRE: Aspire students will report to the cafeteria after school as they do now.
Boys and Girls Club: Boys and Girls Club students will be walked to the Boys and Girls Club prior to the start of car rider dismissal.
Bus Arrival and Dismissal: All busses will drop off and pick up in front of the school on Ocean Boulevard. We appreciate your patience as we work through our new arrival and dismissal procedures. We will send more information with pictures after the holiday.
