MISSION STATEMENT
The A.S.P.I.R.E. Program (After School Program Incorporating Resources for Enrichment) is a program that provides a safe environment for students who would otherwise be unsupervised after school hours. The program provides time for students to complete homework, receive academic assistance and engage in enrichment activities. St. Simons Elementary School Staff members will work in the A.S.P.I.R.E. Program.
PROGRAM GOALS
- To provide a quality after-school program in which students are given opportunities to complete homework and engage in enrichment activities.
- To provide a safe and structured environment which emphasizes responsible behavior, respect for others, and positive attitudes.
- To provide a caring staff who interacts with the students in group and individual situations.
- To provide communication with parents concerning their child’s welfare.

Fees must be paid for every week that a student is enrolled in the program. If other after-school arrangements are made for a short period of time, weekly fees must continue for the lapsed time to reserve the place in the program. If a student is withdrawn for a period of time, the registration fee must be repaid to reenroll the student if space is available.
UNPAID BALANCES AND RETURNED CHECKS
Failure to pay fees will result in termination of participation in the program. If a check is returned, a notice will be given along with an option for correcting the error. If the situation reoccurs, accounts will be placed on a “cash only” status.
Students can be denied participation in the after-school program based on an unpaid balance at any after-school program site operated by the Glynn County School System. If a child transfers from one school to another, the principal of the receiving school will be notified of the unpaid balance, and balances paid will be sent to the school where the balance exists.
