STEM/Media Center Rotation 1st Semester

One of the Special's Rotations for every student is the STEM Lab & Media Center.  3rd, 4th, and 5th graders take their library books with them to the STEM Lab upstairs, room 214.  Mrs. Vivenzio will have an activity for them and will go over the directions before sending a small group to the media center for book checkout.

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders come to the media center for their rotation.  They also bring their books and have storytime and book checkout before beginning a short activity, challenge, game, or project. Pre-K comes to the media center on Friday's for storytime and play time and sometimes a project as well.

The first week of school, we started on Day 2 so not all the classes visited the STEM Lab and Media Center.  3-4-5 that did come went over expectations and rules, walked down to the media center and practiced how to sit on the grand stand, and then had free Lego time.  K-1-2 also had Lego time and either the story We Don't Eat our Classmates or How to get your Teacher Ready for School.
